Summary

Assists in the front desk operations for fitness members and guests and communicates about services and programs provided in the fitness center. Helps in all operations and maintenance functions of the fitness center and Massage.

Job Duties

  • Greets members and guests at the fitness center and performs check-in and membership enrollment duties. Answer phones in a professional manner providing exceptional customer service. Provide members with a tour of facility.
  • Handles membership enrollment and retail sale transactions of services and products offered in the fitness center.
  • Provides a consultative sales approach to meet member's financial needs and proactively identifies opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell beneficial products and services.
  • Works as a team player and maintains a good relationship with other staff members; works towards the goals of other departments and the fitness center.
  • Maintains cafe general supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, and verifying receipt.
  • Processes special instructions on accounts and e-services; performs general file maintenance and researches transactions.
  • Makes recommendations to management concerning improvement of any facet of the fitness center operation.
  • Conducts daily rounding of facility and cleaning of exercise equipment daily. Ensures equipment is in the proper place.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to work well under stress.
  • Flexibility regarding work schedule which could include day, evening, and possible weekend rotations, as needed.
  • Must have professional discretion and confidentiality with information.
  • Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
