Location: Clayton, MO
Additional locations may include Houston, TX

Salary: $99,500 - $150,000
Schedule: Flexible schedule available of up to 2 days remote per week

Focus: The Associate Manager - Revenue Accounting is responsible for performing professional accounting work involving compilation, consolidation, and analysis of financial data.

Associate Manager - Revenue Accounting Essential Job Functions:
  • Performs revenue accounting activities requiring some insight and depth of understanding of order to cash transaction processes, including sales order, pricing, rebates and discounts, billing, and collection.
  • Actively participates in monthly general ledger close which includes reviewing and preparing journal entries and supporting documentation, account reconciliations, balance sheet review and analysis, reporting and other tasks as required for sales and accounts receivable controlling areas.
  • Reviews and analyzes sales activity including impacts of changes from volume, price, customer mix over multiple product lines; provides detailed commentary on variances to leadership.
  • Designs and develops repeatable, recurring and/or ad hoc reporting and financial analysis to assist stakeholders in decision making.
  • Establishes and maintains ongoing working relationships with stakeholder/ internal customer; partners with stakeholders (such as Marketing and Sales, Finance, Corporate Accounting) to analyze and communicate actual results and variance to estimates and prior actual results.
  • Collaborates with, trains, and supports both peer and subordinate team members.
  • Other responsibilities will include supporting internal and external audit requests, adherence to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and the company's accounting policies and practices, contributing to Olin's Continuous Improvement value by proposing new ideas and reporting efficiencies to improve existing work processes, and other special projects as assigned.
Associate Manager - Revenue Accounting Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree*; Accounting discipline strongly preferred; Master's Degree preferred; CMA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 6 years related general accounting experience; preferred background experience to include GAAP and SOX policies and procedures, general ledger systems and auditing practices; public accounting background preferred.
  • Manufacturing/industrial environment strongly preferred; Experience in chemical industry preferred.
  • SAP systems experience preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills and proven experience in financial modeling and decision analyses.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience required in directing work, driving results, and planning and aligning work.
  • Prior supervisory experience highly preferred.
  • Prior Olin experience in a relevant position preferred
