Job Summary

Responsible for many aspects of the receiving and warehouse processes within Monument Health's Supply Chain. Assists with processing inbound and outbound freight, maintaining records pertaining to ordering and receiving of supplies and equipment, while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the inventories occur. Provides the right product or service in the right quantity, going to the correct location in a timely manner - this promotes Patient and Staff satisfaction.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures that all shipping and receiving functions are processed accurately daily.
  • Enters shipping information into appropriate delivery system (I.E. LDS, FedEx, freight, etc.).
  • Ensures that shipment paperwork and instructions are complete, and the deliveries occur as required.
  • Maintains daily shipping and receiving log and/or file for all products.
  • Notifies warehouse leaders for discrepancies in the receiving process, which may need further review and resolution.
  • Receives incoming freight and compares information on purchase orders and/or shipping notices to goods received.
  • Fulfills customer requisitions, urgent orders, and routing department inventory replenishment within the established guidelines and time frames.
  • Verifies inventory accuracy by comparing System computation to the physical count. Investigates discrepancies and adjusts data appropriately.
  • Understands and performs daily inventory functions (i.e. adding stock, returns, and issues) within Supply Chain's ERP system.
  • Completes daily, weekly and monthly cycle counts which include validating quantity on hand, checking expiration dating and making necessary adjustments to inventory documentation.
  • Assists with freight put away within the warehouse location, utilizing proper rotation and stocking methods.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Junior Inventory Receiving Technicians (16 or 17 years old), can do any job that has not been declared hazardous by the Secretary of Labor. At Monument Health, below are examples of duties that CANNOT be performed by a Junior Inventory Receiving Technician:
  • Operating motor vehicles on public roads and working as outside helpers on motor vehicles.
  • Work in any room which involves exposure to ionized radiation.
  • Work in department within facilities such as X-ray rooms and laboratories.
  • Work in areas where they could be exposed to radioactive substances and ionizing radiation.
  • Operating, riding on, and assisting in the operation of most power-driven hoisting apparatus such as forklifts and cherry pickers, to include spotting. Battery and electric floor jacks are permitted, with successful, guided training provided.
  • Operation of all compactors and balers and certain power-driven paper products machines.

Additional Requirements

Physical Requirements:

Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
