Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here's how the Senior Financial Analyst role will make an impact: Key responsibilities for this role include:
Complete various aspects of external financial reporting, corporate accounting, and technical accounting, as well as special projects in the respective areas. Prepare and/or assist with the quarterly closing by creating work papers that support the Company's financial statements and footnotes and internal reporting documents. Ensure that the quarterly results reported in the financial statements agree to financial information contained in Hyperion and other underlying financial information. Analyze financial results and account balances. Organize and lead discussions with team members (including colleagues in other departments) to ensure that these accounts are properly recorded and variances in account balances can be corroborated and explained. Complete assigned technical accounting projects, requiring the comprehension of legal agreements and accurate identification and interpretation of applicable accounting guidance. Successful completion of the project also includes documenting the analysis and related conclusion in a memo. Compile and reconcile data for the quarterly Consolidated Price Volume Variance reporting. Compile and prepare reporting under US GAAP versus Adjusted Results. Counsel and assist less experienced colleagues in Global Controllership. Perform other duties as assigned (including assisting other finance functions on an as needed basis).
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
Minimum of bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Accounting, and two to four years of experience is required. Highest standards of accuracy and precision. Highly driven and self-motivated. Capable of managing time efficiently and multi-tasking; highly organized. Ability to interact with all levels of the organization, as well as external auditors, consultants, etc. CPA and/or public accounting experience (preferably with the Big Four) is preferred. Experience with large, international, public companies and/or companies in the pharmaceutical industry is also preferred. Working knowledge of WebFilings/Workiva financial reporting application is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
