We currently have a great opportunity available for aSpecialist, Transportation and Equipment Logistics. The Transportation and Equipment Logistics Specialist will coordinate and execute the different transportation and equipment related operations. Coordinate performance and daily interactions with carriers as well as meeting internal and external customer needs cost effectively while enhancing service quality. Responsible for identifying and implementing ongoing process improvement activities as well as cost reduction opportunities. Responsible for driving customer communication improvements as well as focusing on supporting the Sysmex brand and enhancing customer experience. Responsible to maintain and collect data points to ensure proper management of transportation and equipment operations and operational cost. Responsible to maintain ongoing touchpoints with the other departments engaged with logistics to ensure that solid communication channels are in place and drive process improvement opportunities with those teams.



Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate logistic operations as well as diligently resolve logistical challenges to support ongoing business. Responsible for processing deliveries for each customer contract.
2. Manage the Equipment installation process. Coordinate equipment related logistics, focusing on customer satisfaction and communication improvement opportunities. Responsible for installation dispatched to the carrier.
3. Effectively communicate with the different teams that interact with logistics in order to enhance process robustness and efficiency. Provide timely communication to the teams and upper management should there be any delays or process anomalies. Coordinate with BGDC warehouse and SNAP team on deliveries processed. Responsible in processing deliveries for reverse logistics.
4. Coordinate vendor relationships, performance and cost. Responsible for transportation carriers that support the SAI RHQ distribution of products, including but not limited to local transportation between sites, carrier performance, carrier invoicing and freight auditing through online portal, customer shipment tracking, freight claims, return logistics, and more.
5. Maintain necessary reports and datasets in order to ensure a proper management of both cost and operational performance.
6. Work with business teams to gather requirements, create specifications and develop new process solutions or enhance existing applications to improve customer satisfaction and positively impact revenue recognition.
7. Manage all instrument licenses, including the registration and posting on the website in a timely fashion.
8. Responsible for Customs and Compliance on all international shipping documentation, including the development and maintenance of all international shipping procedures (compliant with government & regulatory requirements), auditing and recommending Customs process changes for SAI and 3PL distribution centers.
9. Lead the weekly SNAP meeting with business teams to ensure timely processing of SNAP installs. Coordinate any missing items, urgent requests and date of pick up for SNAP instruments.
10. Support initiatives within the Logistics and Operations team, performs all other tasks as required.

Travel Percentage: 5%

Physical Demands: Light physical effort. Routine handling of objects up to 20 pounds; prolonged (at least 50% of time) sitting, standing, keyboard or CRT work. May require periods of moderate discomfort due to noise, dust, lighting and/or other conditions.



Qualifications

    Associates degree in a related field or 3-5 years required experience in transportation with demonstrated knowledge in domestic and international shipments. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Logistics preferred.
  • Excellent Excel skills required and some knowledge of SAP (or other system) preferred.
  • Collaborative skills, including strong communication ability, willingness and ability to work well with others, ability to influence others and project management skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and results-oriented.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic and changing work environment and work in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong customer focused with close attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication skills with excellent written and oral presentation capabilities.

The salary range for this role is $67,200 to $105,600. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The total compensation package for this position also includes a choice of health care plan (medical, vision, and dental insurance), an annual incentive bonus, paid time off, parental leave, bereavement leave and a 401(K) for all eligible employees.
