Business Development Representative Rocky Mountain Region

Westervelt Ecological Services creates mitigation and conservation banks and
provides environmental mitigation and habitat planning services to landowners,
businesses, government agencies, and land trusts. Our established industry
leaders excel in the field of wetland and endangered species mitigation
services, to create a nationwide habitat mitigation company.

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Representative Rocky Mountain Region to join our team in our Denver, Colorado office.

The Business
Development Representative will provide wetland, stream, and species mitigation
and turnkey restoration/conservation services to Westervelt Ecological
Services' clients in the Rocky Mountain Region. This process will require
market analysis and the development and maintenance of business and agency relationships
across our compensatory mitigation and ecosystem services markets. The position
will include forming strategic alliances and coordination with environmental
and engineering consulting firms, corporations, government entities, and trade
organizations throughout the Rocky Mountain Region, and support other regions
as needed and time allows, so that WES can adequately meet client mitigation
needs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
-Implement business development strategies including targeted calls and mailings, client meetings, ongoing customer communications, and attendance at business, developer, and public infrastructure conferences and trade association meetings (this includes staffing and operating booths and events).
-Lead and/or assist with market analysis and reconnaissance of identified target markets. This entails outreach to selected potential customers as well as key regulators and an understanding of past, current and future market needs.
-Lead and/or assist with the preparation of brochures, newsletters, web site updates, and other marketing materials.

-Order and keep inventory of Westervelt client gifts/marketing products.
-Utilize Salesforce or other relevant software to track, coordinate, and implement sales transactions.
-Participate in WES meetings to coordinate marketing and customer leads with entitlement and implementation leaders.

-Lead presentations for partners, stakeholders, clients, internal WES staff, and regulators to educate on WES projects and pursuits.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's
    degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering Science, or related field.
  • Three years related work experience with established business contacts in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain Region.
  • Previous experience developing sales leads with public and private sector clients.
  • Knowledge and experience in regulatory permitting and project entitlement.
  • Demonstrated
    skills to effectively communicate with all levels of internal and external
    customers/contacts.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Previous experience utilizing Salesforce preferred.

The base salary range for this position is $92,700 - $139,100. Actual base salary is based on the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate.
