Job Overview

This role will be responsible for product management, new product development leadership, and marketing for the Arrester Business Unit within Hubbell Power Systems. The business leader would be responsible to maintain a strong ownership of the business unit product strategy coupled with identified financial objectives.

A Day In The Life

  • Develop and maintain an overall arrester product plan which prioritizes specific and measurable objectives for each Hubbell arrester product line.
  • Support development of the overall business unit financial plan; including, but not limited to: sales and margin forecasting, market research, competition, pricing strategies, and risks.
  • Drive the initiative for new product development, including ideation, business case formation, pricing, product application, and product changes. Develop core teams to manage NPD products and identify specific timelines, milestones, and tasks to support those milestones and clearly and proactively report those statuses.
  • Create and deliver product training presentations for diverse audiences of customers, suppliers, and internal team members.
  • Gather VOC (voice of the customer) data and information to support business decisions, initiatives, and product development; collaborate with other product and marketing managers to gain insight in collecting VOC and market trends.
  • Based on product knowledge, cultivate leads in the market to increase sales of existing products.
  • Brainstorm potential improved strategies for addressing business needs through marketing, manufacturing, engineering and logistics for the business unit.
  • Provide ownership for all external-facing marketing materials for the arrester business unit; including website, technical surveys, print materials, etc.
  • Represent the company at sales meetings, industry functions and other activities, as required.

What will help you thrive in this role?

  • Bachelor's Degree (B. S.) from four-year College or University
  • 3-8 years related experience and/or training.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with teammates, both in business and technical discussions
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and leadership skills
  • Solid understanding of project management methodology
  • Works well in group problem solving situations.
  • Ability to develop detailed work plans, schedules and specifications
