Job Title: Vice President Ops Integration & Shop Services Department/Function: Operations Location: Support Center (Fully Remote) Reports to: Chief Operations Officer (COO) Job Level: 4 Job Band: Leader Full-Time Part-Time Exempt Nonexempt Travel Requirements: Frequently Moderately Rarely GENERAL DESCRIPTION The Vice President of Ops Integration & Shop Services will be responsible for Potbelly's Operations Services and Training team, Field Training and New Shop Growth team, and the Catering team. There will be a dotted line to Company Franchise Operations. They are accountable for leading these teams to achieve outstanding performance that contributes to Potbelly growth goals. They will consistently demonstrate the Potbelly Advantage and Our Values. They will follow standard Potbelly operating policies and procedures. They will complete other duties as assigned. FOCUS Responsibilities
- Must lead and behave in alignment with the Potbelly Advantage.
- Ability to develop others through coaching and mentoring.
- Provide leadership and oversee performance of assigned functions. This includes acting as the funnel and filter for the initiatives and projects that are supporting our business and the stores.
- Creates and manages functional priorities to support Potbelly needs, outlining resources to meet the objectives, establishing budget, and monitoring performance against plans and budget.
- Meeting or exceeding targets for all roll-outs and initiatives supported by assigned functions.
- Operations Services:
- Acts as a point of reference and a source of knowledge for Potbelly.
- Identifying, developing, and executing projects/initiatives and procedures for the Brand.
- Manages cross-functional work teams from various departments at all levels within the organization in an effort to drive overall execution throughout the Brand.
- Conducts a needs analysis/assessment on all projects and initiatives to fully understand overall requirements.
- Proofs, edits, and communicates implementation and evaluation materials for projects/initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior management to provide detailed reporting and analysis on an as-needed basis.
Training:
- Engage appropriate levels of leadership in training strategy, leadership development needs and approaches to effectively support Brand growth.
- Development of a curriculum plan for every level of the organization at Potbelly based on input from shop teams, Support Center leaders, and external best practices.
- Ensures Potbelly uses all available training resources to ensure a well-rounded training program that meets the individual learning needs of the participants.
Catering:
- Engaging appropriate levels of leadership in the development of catering strategies that builds sales and grows the Brand's business.
- Analyzing competitive activity, catering sales trends, issues, and consumer needs in order to improve KPIs.
- Ensuring flawless execution of the catering plan.
Other duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS
- Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of a 50-hour week.
- Ability to stand/walk for 6-8 hours per day and sit for 4-6 hours per day.
- Ability to travel as needed in the field.
- Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate, and key in data.
- Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
- Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music, customer and employee traffic
- Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, and shellfish.
- Must be able to communicate heavily through phone, e-mail, video conferencing, Microsoft Teams, text/SMS, and in-person communications.
- Must be able to engage in problem-solving skills to help identify and solve potential issues in the field.

- Bachelor's degree, preferred.
- Ability to comprehend and communicate in English via verbal and written communication, such that employee can perform their job responsibilities.
- Proficiency of Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, and One Drive.
- Proficiency with a Learning Management System (LMS), preferably Schoox.
- Proficiency in restaurant systems, Smart Sheets, and other productivity tools.
