Health Care Administration Intern

Job Description

The Health Care Administration Intern position is for an active student to gain work experience. This position is responsible for completing tasks for planning and strategy operations under the direction of leadership or Baptist Health Care team members.

To qualify for this position, a candidate must be currently enrolled at or recently graduated in past 24 months, from an accredited four-year higher education institution and pursuing a 2 or 4 year degree.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares required documentation and communicates in a professional manner and support.
  • Supports team with management of data collection, documentation, and data sourcing.
  • Responsible for leading one key project and reporting out on to leadership by end of internship
  • Supporting organizational initiatives as assigned
  • Assist in other duties as assigned to support the operational needs of the department and organization.
  • May be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters


Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent- Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Health Care Management, Related Field- Preferred

Work Experience

  • 0-1-year previous work experience- Preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong initiative; analytical, effective organization, communication, and planning skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to grasp technical information and to attention to detail.
  • Solid and effective written, interpersonal, oral and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and assignments.
