Role Overview

Eastman Kodak is looking for an Analytical Instrumentation Repair Technician to support various sites within Eastman Business Park in Rochester, New York.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting ,repair, calibration of a vast variety of analytical instrumentation, such as: Uv/Vis & FTIR Spectroscopy , GC/LC, Moisture analysis, Titrators, Particle analyzers, Thermodynamics instrumentation, and Kodak propriety instrumentation/equipment. You'll also be hands-on with various other forms of Analytical & QC instrumentation found in laboratory settings and/or manufacturing environments throughout Eastman Business Park.

Primary Responsibilities:

*Learn various internal software platforms in order to procure parts necessary in day-to-day operations.

*Keep diligent records to maintain a procurement card in order to streamline the parts purchasing process for various sites.

*Diagnose and repair mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment in the electronic field with a thorough understanding of electronic digital circuitry, electronic and electro-mechanical devices.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience:

*Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field OR 5 years equivalent experience in related field/field support engineering experience.

*Valid Driver's License required to be able to transport equipment between sites.

*Must possess strong analytical and technical skills.

*Excellent communication, documentation, and computer skills required.

*Solid mechanical aptitude required.

*Soldering experience required.

*Must have the ability/desire to work independently with a high level of integrity, inspiring trust. Ability to manage own workload with minimal oversight.

*Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, electrical, instrumentation, electronics/controls, mechanical and hydraulic prints.

*Ability to develop and maintain good customer relations, as you will be the frontline individual with lab personnel when dealing with instrumentation issues.

*Analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to the customer in an easy-to-understand manner.

*Experience interfacing with both internal team members, instrumentation manufacturer's and external vendors.

*Experience with various electronic test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and voltage/current sourcing equipment.

*ISO and NEC familiarity a plus.

*Zebra printer experience a plus.
