This position is responsible for developing and implementing technical strategy for digitalization efforts within DTNA Operations.

Position offers an annual salary of $159,994.00.

  • Daimler Truck North America LLC seeks a Principal Solution Architect out of our office at 4747 N Channel Ave., Portland, OR 97217. Note, this is a hybrid position whereby the employee will work both from home and from the aforementioned office address. Hence, the employee must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the aforementioned office address. Develop and implement technical strategy for digitalization efforts within DTNA Operations.
  • Align shop floor data strategy with Operations Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Plant Production Operations, and Corporate IT. Lead consolidated application development efforts for all areas of the Operations value chain. Develop and implement cloud data strategy for manufacturing operations. Drive DTNA data source consolidation efforts and enforce network wide data standard adoption. Prepare/present to corporate/plant management as lead in the Centralized Operations Data Analytics group. Manage technical reporting and application development projects utilizing resources including team members, external resources, and interns. Create tools, processes and systems to mine and transform operations data into actionable data analytics solutions. Integrate with process experts for a holistic approach to problem definition, development and solution deployment. Develop and maintain Tableau reports through interaction with customers. Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality. Maintain knowledge of innovative data analytics and IIOT tools and processes.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Information Systems, or foreign equivalent.
  • 10 years of experience in job offered or related.
  • Experience must include experience with: MS SQL Server, HANA, and Azure ADX;
  • Tableau and PowerBI; Microsoft Azure/IOT Hub/Data Factory development;
  • Microsoft .NET full stack development;
  • Expert level SQL and KQL development;
  • Statistical programming languages (i.e. R or Python);
  • Operations vehicle production processes; devops tools: Github, Jfrog, Rancher kubernetes and Azure devops;
  • Mobile app development; mapping and/or converting data from multiple sources for analysis;
  • Application development project management.

This position is not eligible for relocation support
