We are actively looking for a Business Systems Specialist to join our IT team. As part of the IT Group, the Business Systems Specialist assists with the day-to-day operations and training of Moffatt & Nichol's critical business systems. These systems include, but are not limited to, our ERP, CRM, Project Information Management, Time Management, Budgeting, Expense, and data analytics platforms. Additionally, the Systems Manager will provide in-depth advice on business processes and procedures to our customer stakeholders on matters relating to key business systems.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Support the reliable performance of key business systems (ERP, CRM, Project Information Management, Time Management, Budgeting, Expense, Data analytics, etc.) This will include:
    • Providing excellent end-user assistance and support
    • Troubleshooting and resolving software, user access, and other issues
    • Creating training documentation and providing in-person and on-camera training
    • Monitoring system performance and usage to maintain security and reliability
    • Making recommendations to better utilize and enhance our systems
    • Configuring and testing system configurations in order to maximize efficiency and provide operational consistency
  • Operates as the primary resource or as part of a project team to provide professional services guidance and support of business operations as related to the key business systems
    • This involves providing support and recommendations to internal stakeholders for improved efficiencies and best practices to take full advantage of key business systems
  • Participate in development meetings with various staff and/or vendors to gather user requirements, designs and configurations necessary to manage and improve key business software systems and applications
  • Work with internal stakeholders to assist in the development of custom software solutions
  • Assist in the acquisition and deployment of new key business systems
  • Understand business concepts to drive the continuous improvement, efficiency, and effectiveness of key business systems
  • Identify project scope for key system implementations and upgrades
  • Ensure that project documentation is sufficient, as well as clear and concise to ensure that all parties are aware of required project tasks and milestones
  • Assist in the delivery of key business systems software to the user base
  • Provide an understanding of our development environment, identify technology gaps, and assist projects to close those gaps
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (preferably Computer Science related)
  • 10+ or more years of experience in systems support and implementation
  • Experience managing projects and leading cross-functional teams in a matrix, partnership environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills including influencing and negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
  • Works well under pressure and with time constraints; efficient and able to multitask
  • Ability to determine key business issues and develop appropriate analysis plans
  • All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Base salary range:

$88,000 to $107,000 based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration, and meeting required qualification in job description.

Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the California, New York City, and Washington markets.

Working conditions:

Sedentary for prolonged period of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
