Position Summary:
The position will report to the manager of markets & forecasting in the strategic planning group. This group serves as an enabler for the entire organization, providing services and concrete execution assistance to operating functions ranging from sales to supply chain. In this way, the business analyst role will be similar to that of an entry-level management consulting position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conducting market research across a range of geographies, product spaces, and end users.
- Creating user-focused reports with clear messaging.
- Developing models for revenue planning and reporting.
- Developing a fact basis to assist in new product launches and product lifecycle management.
- Structuring and completing analyses and research to solve operational problems, develop growth strategies, or conduct other initiatives for the strategic planning team.
- Analyzing data in Excel and database software to provide fact-based intelligence to management.
- Creating business communications documents (including recommendations and work plans) in PowerPoint/Word that are well-structured and fact-based.
- Communicating effectively with departments and functions throughout the organization in order to gather and disseminate information.
- Executing work plans based upon project timelines and meeting all deliverable deadlines with excellent quality end products.
Education/Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a highly analytical, problem-solving field. BS in science or engineering preferred.
- 0-3 years of experience.
- Proficiency with analytical and presentation tools such as Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Alteryx, programming, or statistics programs.
- Hypothesis-driven approach to problem solving and ability to structure thinking before producing analyses.
- Desire to learn about the complete business across a range of functions and ability to gather information throughout the organization to drive positive change.
- Creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to get things done.
Working Conditions:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer using a keyboard and mouse performing repetitive tasks.
- Ability to open file cabinets, reach with hands and arms, bend, and twist, lift and move files.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
- Must comply with all work exposure EH&S training requirements and adhere to SIG SAUER Inc. Security Mandates.
