Position Purpose: |
The purpose of this position is to provide test proctoring and administrative support for Testing Support Services. |
Essential Functions: |
Testing
- Administer and proctor individual and group tests according to policy and procedures.
- Collection, organization, and maintenance of all testing materials
- Ensuring students have access to appropriate technology and equipment.
- Troubleshooting and ability to refer individuals to appropriate resources and staff.
- Completion, tracking, and facilitation of incident reports and student records.
General
- Train staff and orient students to the department procedures and processes.
- Create, maintain, educate and enforce operations manuals and procedural guidelines.
- Handle highly sensitive information with appropriate awareness of FERPA standards in order to maintain confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate electronic records, including timely completion of case notes.
- Demonstrated, effective written and oral communication skills.
- Manage multiple projects and juggle competing priorities.
- Troubleshoot and problem solve issues.
- Work independently and collaborate with lead worker and other staff when needed. Use appropriate professional judgment about when to involve lead worker in problem solving.
- Other duties as assigned.

Supervision Statement: |
Works under the general supervision of the Dean. The Testing Coordinator or other Lead Program Coordinator may train, assign work, provide priorities, and be available to troubleshoot problems on a daily basis. |
Physical Demands/Working Environment: |
This position works indoors and is exposed to usual office working conditions that include office noises and interruptions, such as printers, telephones, and visitors. This position requires that an employee is able to sit or stand for extended periods of time; perform cognitive and psychometric work for more than six (6) hours a day. This position may work with individuals who may be in crisis, have difficulty tracking, or in need of mental health support. Work may require transporting materials up to twenty-five (25) pounds. Knowledge Skills and Abilities: |
Knowledge of and Skill in:
- College policies and procedures.
- Performing basic arithmetic computations.
- Accurate and efficient data entry.
- Compiling data and generating reports from computerized databases.

- Learn and use the Accessible Information Management (AIM) system, Student Information System (SIS), and multiple measures used for writing, reading and math placement.
- Work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
- Maintain the confidentiality of records and information in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
- Provide support to employees working to meet accreditation standards through evaluation and assessment of student outcomes.
