Sanitary Disposal, a Waste Connections Company is looking to hire asafety conscienceAutomated Side Load Driverto join the team in Hermiston, Oregon Previous experience would be a hugeplus! Drivers are trained to Operate Automated Side Load Garbage Trucks. Schedule will be Monday-Friday and Starting at 5:30am and Ending when the route is complete, (Generally 9-11-hour days). We keep our promises to our customers and our employees Safety Sensitive: YES Duties and Responsibilities: Valid Class A or B CDL license with air brake endorsement Ability to read route Tablet and service each customer identified or assigned by the dispatcher. Perform Daily Pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles. Such as checking fluids, safety equipment, lights and tire pressure. Operate hydraulic hand controls Working knowledge of D.O.T. laws Courteous interaction with our customers and perform other miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. The schedule will be Monday - Friday day shift, 45-50 hours per week, 5:30am start time. Ability to work a physically demanding job. Loading and unloading. Willingness to submit to and pass background check and pre-employment drug screening test Ability to read, write and comprehend reports to complete daily assignments Clean driving record. Working Conditions and Physical Effort: Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds. Automatic Side Load Truck Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts. Which require following basic safety precautions. The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate. What we offer our Employees.
