Logistics Team Leader

We are looking for a Logistics Team Leader to join our Group and support us in driving World Class Excellence within our Automation Instrumentation Production Center. Within the Level and Pressure Production Center, we utilize state-of-the-art production techniques and manufacturing technologies to ensure the quality of the instrumentation produced, as well as the safety of employees and the environment.

What is the role about?
This position is responsible for overseeing the daily operation of the Supply Chain Logistics team.

Which tasks will you perform?
You will:

  • Serve as the internal expert in the department; develop deeper knowledge of processes to help resolve day-to-day issues
  • Conduct or coordinate training for new employees and cross-training efforts
  • Oversee workers and move as needed to meet daily business requirements
  • Cover absenteeism when group leader and/or associates are unavailable
  • Work with department manager and group leader to foster a positive work environment
  • Maintain and promote a customer focus
  • Participate in and/or lead continuous improvement projects and ideas
  • Coordinate communications with other departments and/or within logistics team
  • Perform routine audits and record non-conformances to guide prioritization of projects/improvement opportunities
  • Utilize a problem-solving approach; address problems with thorough and swift resolution, escalate when necessary
  • Maintain inventory of logistics materials and supplies
  • Lead team to adhere to production schedule and perform work duties on-time
  • Maintain the departmental skill matrix and keep training records up to date
  • Ensure work instructions are developed, updated, and followed by team members
  • Deploy TPM; ensure equipment is well maintained
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

You:

  • Ability to collect and research data; identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Must contribute to a positive team building experience
  • Demonstrate an understanding and comprehension of quality standards and abide by them
  • Must have a basic understanding internal and external customers' needs, manage difficult or emotional customer situations, and respond promptly to customer requests
  • Willing to work overtime when necessary or to support initiatives
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
