Pay: $25-30/hr

Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday | 5:00 AM - 5:00 PM

As a Chemical Operator Lead, you will oversee the weekend shift's operations, managing production activities across all manufacturing areas (Dry, Liquids, Resin, PVOH). You'll also be responsible for quality control, making batch adjustments, and performing maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Set daily production schedules and assign tasks, including maintenance and cleanup.
• Train and cross-train employees to ensure shift reliability.
• Report inventory needs to the Production Manager and print batch sheets.
• Ensure accuracy of batch and production records.
• Report safety issues or deviations from plant standards.
• Perform tasks in various roles, including quality control and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and monitor critical control points.
• Use software to control and monitor polymerization reactions.
• Handle hazardous materials safely and wear appropriate PPE.
• Conduct QC testing on products (e.g., solids, pH, viscosity).
• Monitor raw material levels, temperatures, and assist with unloading.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Assist the Production Manager as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Chemical mixing experience preferred.
• Ability to cross-train in all production areas.
• Basic understanding of polymerization reactions.
• Comfortable using computer systems for production monitoring.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to perform maintenance tasks.
• Must operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other equipment.
• Must pass medical certification for full-face respirator use.
• Willingness to work with hazardous materials.
