Inside the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented journeyman carpenter/painter to work on a variety of construction projects and building maintenance. The candidates primary skills and experience should be Industrial and Commercial painting.

  • 37.64 per hour
  • Shift Premium for 2nd and 3rd shifts
  • Avg 15 paid holidays per year

What you Drive at DTNA:

  • installation, finishing and wall paper hanging
  • Erecting scaffolding or setting up ladders safely to perform tasks above ground level.
  • Painting surfaces using brushes, spray gun, or paint rollers, and applying epoxy floor coatings.
  • Removing old paint from surfaces using paint remover, scraper, wire brush, or blowtorch to prepare surfaces for painting.
  • Smoothing surfaces, using sandpaper, brushes, or steel wool.
  • General wood construction carpentry, including steel or metal studs.
  • Installation of doors and associated hardware.
  • Document work performed on repair order.
  • Determining the type and amount of material required for each project.
  • Transporting the materials and equipment to each work site.
  • Complying with all applicable safety regulations.
  • Training and managing apprentices and subordinates.

Additional Information

  • High School diploma or GED
  • High standard of integrity and professionalism
  • Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation.
  • Industrial & Commercial painting experience (JORNEYMAN SKILL LEVEL)
  • Relevant State License
  • Good math and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Physically fit and able to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing and rigging.
