Senior Financial Accountant

STS Technical Services is hiring a Senior Financial Accountant in Savannah, Georgia. This is an onsite, direct hire opportunity supporting a leading organization with a strong commitment to financial excellence and integrity.

In this role, you'll bring expertise in monthly closing, multi-state sales tax compliance, and audit preparation. You'll play a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting external audits, and ensuring regulatory compliance across accounting operations.

• Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts with full supporting documentation
  
• Review general ledger entries and support the monthly financial close process
  
• File and review multi-state sales tax returns on a timely basis
  
• Collaborate with state agencies and support audits related to sales tax
  
• Assist with annual audit preparation in coordination with external auditors
  
• Create and maintain audit-ready schedules, work papers, and supporting documents
  
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to validate and deliver accurate financial data
  
• Serve as a liaison with external auditors to ensure compliance and transparency
  

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
  
• 4+ years of accounting experience with emphasis on closing processes and audit support
  
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
  
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  

• Experience with ERP systems
  
• Familiarity with audit procedures and maintaining relationships with external audit teams
