JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State University Park Career Services is seeking to hire a current graduate student to serve as part-time Career Counselor during the upcoming academic year. Preference will be given to applicants who have already completed a practicum/internship experience with PSU Career Services. This will be a paid position, $15/hr for up to 10 hrs a week, reporting to Assistant Director of Career Counseling. Primarily will meet with a wide range of graduate and undergraduate students conducting mock interviews and providing career counseling on a variety of career-related topics, which may include career/major exploration, interview prep, resume reviews, and job/internship search. These meetings will occur within brief (10-15 minute) drop-in sessions and within pre-scheduled 30-60 minute individual career counseling appointments, both virtual and in-person.Hours will be in-person at the Bank of America Career Services building at University Park campus. Duties will also include presenting career-related workshops and supporting our team at career fairs and outreach events as needed. Typically requires 1+ years related experience, currently pursuing a Master's Degree or higher in Counseling Psychology, Counselor Education, Student Affairs, Higher Education, or related discipline.
