The Risk and Compliance Manager ensures adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies by developing and implementing compliance programs, conducting risk assessments, and monitoring operations for potential issues. The Risk and Compliance Manager plays a pivotal role in upholding Conti Federal's commitment to safety, integrity, and compliance while ensuring our operations and projects meet the highest regulatory standards. This position is vital to proactively identifying and managing potential risks while promoting a culture of accountability across global teams.

Responsibilities

Risk Management:



  • Develop, implement, and manage risk management policies and procedures.
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize potential risks across the organization, including operational, financial, legal, and reputational risks.
  • Oversee and optimize corporate bonding and insurance programs to mitigate risks and align with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies and action plans to mitigate identified risks.


Compliance Oversight:



  • Conduct regular audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to internal and external regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and present compliance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor operations for regulatory and policy adherence, consulting stakeholders as necessary.
  • Lead investigations into compliance breaches and recommend corrective actions.
  • Administer small business subcontracting program.


Guidance and Training:



  • Participate in continuous professional development opportunities to stay current with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in risk and compliance management.
  • Provide guidance and advisory assistance regarding risk and compliance matters.
  • Provide training to employees on compliance and risk management policies.


Stakeholder Engagement:



  • Serve as a liaison with regulatory bodies, auditors, subcontractors, suppliers, and external resources to address risk management and compliance-related matters.
  • Foster a collaborative working environment by working closely with other departments and teams to ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.


Qualifications:



  • For Security Clearance, must be a US Citizen as required.
  • High School Diploma or GED and 7+ years of relevant experience, OR
  • Undergraduate degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, OR
  • Masters degree and 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction industry business practices, federal contracting compliance requirements, risk management frameworks, and ability to research and apply applicable regulatory and legal requirements (FAR, DFARS, UCC, etc.).
  • Ability to proactively identify potential risks and compliance issues, consult with stakeholders to develop strategies and solutions, and implement action plans expeditiously.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, proficient in written and oral communication, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of CMiC, Procore, or other similar ERP/Construction Management Systems a plus.
  • Experience with Building Connected, TradeTapp, or Trust Layer a plus.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
