Function:

To dump bagged ingredients and/or product which are used in the instant feed room and dry blend operation.

Duties:

  1. Lift Truck qualified.
  • Secure totes, skids and supersacks of ingredients from warehouse.
  • Return unused ingredients to warehouse.
  • Remove trash from area and deposit in either trash compactor, cardboard compactor or recycle bin. Neatly restack super sacks for recycling.
  • Transfer powder from super sacks to totes as needed.
  • Sample, inventory, sort and align ingredient inventory as needed.
  1. Maintain records of ingredients used. Insure that these ingredients are correct and properly cleaned before use. Take any routine samples of product or any other special samples needed.
  1. Visually inspect ingredient containers for contamination and report all items found.
  1. Be proficient and knowledgable in SAP and Formula management control.
  • Use SAP to maintain accurate inventory and consumption of ingredients by item and location.
  • Use Formula management control to obtain batch card detailing recipe for items to be dry blended.
  1. Clean/vacuum/wash blenders on changeovers to specific SSOP's
  1. Dumping all bagged, boxes or barrelled ingredients into blender according to batch card instructions.
  1. Assisting with building cleaning in the work areas and weekend clean up.
  1. Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Must prevent the contamination of the ingredients and/or product dumped by following dumping procedures and hygiene practices. Must visually inspect the product and bags to insure visual quality.Maintain the work area and equipment in a safe and orderly condition. Wear proper head protection, head covering, and hearing protection.Employee shall follow Waverly safety objectives & targets, follow the plant safety rules, report incidents & unsafe conditions immediately, maintain compliance with regulations, and refer to the Safety Management System on all safety related procedures and programs.This position will adhere to the Nestle USA Waverly Environmental Policy, the Pollution Prevention Plan, and the Annual Environmental Objectives & Targets. The position will support the continual improvement of energy conservation, solid waste minimization and management, and prevention of pollution within the scope of the position and throughout the plant.Records of quantity of powder dumped. Proper use of SAP for consuming ingredients and producing WIP/finished goods. - also reversals in SAP to put igredients not used back into stock and maintain accurate inventory by amount and location.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Previous lift truck certification and experience highly desired.

Previous experience in a foodmanufacturing environment strongly preferred.

Must have basic proficiency of English language to comply with verbal and written directions, signs, policies and procedures.

Willing and able to stand on a frequent basis.

Willing and able towork overtime.

Willing and able to work various shifts.

Able to lift up to 50pounds.

**This is a 3rd shift position: 12am-8 am core hours with some mandatory overtime that could be before or after core hours

Pay $28.25/hr
