Essential Job Duties |
Are you a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for facilities management and operational excellence? Join our team as a Planner/Scheduler, where you'll play a vital role in coordinating preventive maintenance and supporting capital improvement projects across campus facilities. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with skilled trade professionals, optimize maintenance workflows, and contribute to sustainability and safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule preventive maintenance and capital project activities across campus facilities.
- Manage work orders, procurement, and resource tracking using AiM and other systems to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Shop Supervisors, and Building Liaisons to plan system shutdowns and meet project deadlines.
- Monitor budgets and provide financial planning recommendations using Wolf Reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including PPE standards and health training schedules.
- Generate reports and planning documents using Word, Excel, and Access to support operational tracking.
- Develop project estimates, timelines, and conduct inspections to ensure quality standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs as part of routine duties.
- Participate in snow and ice removal operations as needed.

Other Responsibilities |
- This position has been designated as essential personnel for the University and may be required to report to work during adverse weather conditions even though the University may be operating on an alternate schedule. This position may assist with snow and ice removal under the direction of a supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Experience/Education |
Associate's Degree in the assigned discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Some positions may require certification. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |

Preferred Qualifications |
- Demonstrated knowledge of work methods, process techniques, and safety practices relevant to facilities maintenance.
- Hands-on experience in one or more building mechanical trades.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on compliance and operational standards.
- Experience in facilities maintenance and operations, particularly in building and mechanical systems.
- Prior experience working in a commercial or university setting.
