Duties, Responsibilities & Other

Duties, Responsibilities & Other:

This position is for an underground construction manager with a minimum of 10 years of underground experience using directional drills, excavators and plows.

    Work with senior PM for in-field project set up
  • Lead and direct multiple 4-man crew to safely complete projects.
  • Select and implement appropriate maintenance of traffic signage and follow safety precautions.
  • Identify potential safety hazards. Create a corrective action plan when safety hazards are recognized.
  • Administer monthly safety meetings.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Understand as-built drawings, roadway plans, and create legible field sketches.
  • Possess leadership and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance tasks.
  • Must have a mechanical aptitude.
  • Experience placing underground cable a plus.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Valid driver's license

**Must be able to lift 50 pounds, walk for extended periods, and work in all weather conditions and climates. Must be willing to work evenings/weekends when required. Travel for overnight and extended stay projects are possible and should be expected. EOE/M/F/Veteran/Disabled.



Qualifications

Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.

Education and/or Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience with a high school diploma/GED or minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Ability to understand construction plans, specifications, and procedures.
  • Demonstrate basic math skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
  • Possess the ability to read, write, and communicate fluently.
  • Work effectively as a team member and complete daily reports by hand and computer.
  • Ability to establish strong working relationships with various stakeholders.

Certificates, licenses, and/or Registrations Required:

  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to maintain required certifications.
