What You'll Do as a Senior HVAC Controls Specialist on the IMPACT Fly Team
As a senior member of Johnson Controls' elite IMPACT Fly Team, you won't just support projects-you'll elevate them. With 75-100% travel, you'll be the go-to expert, flying in to solve complex challenges and ensure our building automation systems perform flawlessly.
Commission with Confidence
Lead validation of hardware and software commissioning for advanced HVAC and building automation systems.
Ensure every system meets performance specs, safety standards, and operational excellence.
Apply Deep Expertise
Collaborate Across Teams
Work directly with Project Managers and Field Technicians to support multiple high-stakes projects.
Provide technical guidance, hands-on support, and real-time problem-solving to keep timelines on track and systems running smoothly.
Be the Expert Who Shows Up When It Counts
Represent Johnson Controls at customer sites nationwide, delivering precision, professionalism, and peace of mind.
Be the trusted specialist who ensures every system is not just installed-but engineered to perform.
How will you do it
Loads system-level controller software
Performs advanced commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (such as sensors, actuators, etc.) and completes all required commissioning documentation
Keeps management and JCI contractors or customers informed of job progress and issues
Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment
Completes administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation
Documents change and provide information for as-built documentation
Communicate with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site
Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training. High degree of regard to employee and subcontractor safety.
What we look for
Advanced computer skills (Metasys preferred)
Advanced knowledge of electrical testing and commissioning tools
Strong documentation acumen
Good communication and listening skills
Advanced knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems
Low voltage/120-volt wiring skills preferred
A valid driver's license, with no major or frequent traffic violations
