Security Glazing Technical Business Application Development needed for a 12 month contract opportunity with Yoh's client located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Pay Rate: $90 to $100 per hour
The primary role of this position is to identify new potential applications for products in the Security Glazing market for the Americas and facilitate the use of products in these applications.
Major Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Lead project for business development of the Specialty Films into the Security Glazing market
- Understand the technical capabilities and performance of the Specialty Films grades in the Security Glazing market
- Engage technical specialists in the Security Glazing value chain to understand unmet needs around laminating bullet resistant glass (BRG), voice of customer, etc.
- Gather technical requirements for new and existing applications and match against product portfolio
- Visit customers (OEMs and laminators), fostering relationships with the various functions at the customer such as technical product development to procurement, to product management and marketing
- Work with customers (OEMs and laminators) to optimize customer processes using Specialty Films
- Assist in development and modification of new grades of aliphatic TPU for Securty Glazing applications
Qualifications:
The selected candidate is required to possess the following:
- Bachelors degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Material Science, or Chemistry preferred)
- 15+ years of relevant professional experience with 10+ years in technical product, and/or market development, and/or technical sales
- Demonstrated ability to engage and work with external customers
- Significant direct experience in the Security Glazing market/industry
- Demonstrated project management expertise
- Market analysis skills preferred
- Experience in the glass lamination and films business preferred
- Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills
- Ability to translate development activities into commercially viable technologies and products
- Strong computer skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence others
