Senior Process Improvement Engineer woodcons.com Location: Maryland, USA Job Type: Full-Time Shift: Day Telework: None Salary Range: **$175,000 to $210,000 ** Salary ranges are based on minimum education and years of experience and may increase based on education and/or experience. Overview: A Process Improvement Engineer is responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing process improvements across an organization to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance. This role involves using methodologies such as Agile, SAFe, Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement techniques to streamline operations and foster continuous improvement. Security Clearance Requirements: This position requires all candidates to be U.S. Citizens and possess an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with a Polygraph.
Responsibilities
Analyze Current Processes: Identify areas for improvement by analyzing existing business processes and workflows.
Implement Process Improvements: Develop and implement strategies to optimize processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity. Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure process changes are understood and adopted. Mentor and Coach: Provide guidance and support to employees, helping them understand and utilize new processes effectively. Monitor and Evaluate: Continuously monitor the effectiveness of implemented improvements and make necessary adjustments. Document and Report: Maintain detailed documentation of process improvements and report on their impact using data and statistical analysis.
Qualifications
Senior Process Improvement Engineer:
- High School Diploma or GED plus twenty-four (24) years of general systems engineering experience, OR
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university AND a minimum of twenty (20) years of general systems engineering experience, OR
- Master's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university AND a minimum of eighteen (18) years of general systems engineering experience.
Skills and Abilities:
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Agile, SAFe, Lean, and Six Sigma. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and pinpoint areas for improvement. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Communication: Excellent communication skills to effectively convey process changes and improvements to stakeholders. Project Management: Proficiency in managing projects, timelines, and resources to ensure successful implementation of process improvements. Mentoring: Experience in mentoring and coaching teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing environments and implement new technologies and methodologies. Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy and precision in process documentation and implementation.
