We are currently looking for a Specialist Category Management IT to oversee (TIS) support by ensuring category goals and objectives are translated into strategies that are aligned to achieve both short- and long-term objectives of the stakeholder group and broader enterprise. In this role, you will develop, implement and manage TIS category strategies that mitigate risk and deliver competitive advantage for Enbridge.

What You Will Do:

  • Leads and execute complex sourcing initiatives following the agreed processes and sourcing channels including negotiation complex high spend TIS Agreements and end to end leading and management of sourcing events.
  • Utilizes market analysis, benchmarking and contracting strategies for TIS commodities and services. Works with cross-functional teams in assessing risks, options, and desired outcomes to meet TIS needs and technical compliance.
  • Applies a broad and deep subject matter expertise in the technology and information services market dynamics, and industry trends impacting Enbridge to support the development of appropriate sourcing strategies.
  • Tracks and measures performance levels for complex sourcing and supplier efficiency. Maintains focus on fit for purpose, added value, lowest total "life cycle" cost and cost savings.
  • Maintains relationships with key TIS, business and manufacturing partners and key supplier contacts.
  • Interpret MI to drive category strategies and provide direction to stakeholders (i.e. raising changes in market conditions which could have an impact to cost or schedule).

Who You Are:

  • University degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Engineering or related field with a minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible and related sourcing experience in the TIS category, specifically software, hardware and TIS services. For candidates who do not possess a University degree, an additional 3-years of related experience is required.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Outstanding communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills, with strong influencing and persuasive talents.
  • Experience negotiating substantially large Software, Hardware and TIS service agreements and managing sourcing initiatives.
  • Ability to monitor and manage supplier relationships and performance with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Mental Requirements (Both Field & Office) include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
