Job Title: Social Services Coordinator

FLSA Status: Full Time - non-exempt
Reports to: Corps Officers

Schedule: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Supervises: N/A

Rate of Pay: $20/hr

Closing Date: 2/16/2025

Benefits: Standard; Full-Time, Non-Exempt employees are eligible for but not limited to the following:

Function: The Social Service Coordinator will oversee all social service programs for the Cheyenne Corps, including, but not limited to, energy assistance, Christmas assistance, and the food bank. They will also work with Corps officers to assist and support during the Christmas season.

Duties and Responsibilities:




  • Keep current on all programs aimed at assisting residents with various
  • Obtain a working knowledge of all TSA and local guidelines related to Social
  • Implement all TSA and local standards as they relate to Social
  • Implement the distribution of Energy and Rental Assistance funds when
  • In cases where a client's situation lies outside the standard of the generally accepted scope of service, refer to another appropriate agency or inquire with the Corps Officers.
  • Assist the Volunteers and Others in keeping the food bank stocked and sorted, following necessary agency guidelines and standards.
  • Coordinate the pickup/delivery of any food items used in the food bank, including items from Wyoming Food Banks and local Foodbanks.
  • When necessary, drive a TSA vehicle for food bank item pickup
  • Supervise and oversee community service and/or volunteers in the food
  • Provide any clients with information about Corps programs that might benefit their family, including but not limited to information on Corps Services, Youth and Senior Programs, Camps, etc.
  • Compile and report detailed statistics according to the required frequency of TSA and governmental standards using the WellSky Program.
  • Oversee the Social Service Christmas Assistance effort and work with Christmas Volunteers to coordinate and execute the intake, sorting, and distribution of Christmas Assistance.
  • Assist with answering the Corps phone and other inquiries, assist in recruiting volunteers to assist as needed.
  • Will be the primary point of contact for all social service


  • Responsible for all Social Service volunteer files, training, driver tests, and necessary documentation; and must maintain all files according to TSA policy and procedures.
  • Represent the Cheyenne Corps at various events to promote Salvation Army Social Services and volunteerism at the Corps.
  • Provide support to other Cheyenne Corps staff and activities as



Qualification and Education Requirements:




  • A High School Diploma or GED, with two years of related work experience and one year of supervisory experience. A combination of training and experience will be
  • Pass the Driver Safety Test and, within 90 days of employment, must have or obtain a valid Colorado driver's license.
  • Must be minimally 21 years of age and possessing a valid in-state Driver's License
