The Head of Planning and Business Performance plays a critical role in the success of the Tech Ecosystem, the firm's Technology function.

Who You'll Work With
You will work with our Chief Technology and Platform Officer (CTPO) who leads firm's Technology function and her direct reports. You will be a strategic thinker and operational doer who plans and directs all financial and operational activities for the CTPO.
You will work in close collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders within and outside of the Tech Ecosystem such as Finance, Talent, Optimize, GenAI leadership, etc., to ensure consistency in our planning and financial processes as well as make sure priorities reflect the firm-wide strategy.
You will be sharp, analytical, and comfortable creating structure to meet objectives in a sometimes-ambiguous environment. In this role, you will have the ability to multi-task and deliver on several projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment.
Your impact within our firm
You will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of business operations and financial management within the tech industry.
Your specific responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Leading the Tech Ecosystem rhythm of the businessto ensure operational efficiency, drive performance, and achieve business goals. In particular,
(i) Managing ~$700m budget in close collaboration with firm Finance and leading the financial planning process
(ii) Leading vendor management including setting up the strategic supplier strategy, ensuring third party spend is aligned with TE and firm strategic needs, identifying and operationalizing services to better manage and run our External Worker relationships, while streamlining and strengthening key partnerships
(iii) Managing the integrated program planning aligned with of TE and Firm strategic objectives and business operating guidelines, e.g., TOPS, QBRs
Defining, delivering and leveraging KPIs to drive performance and org healthof the overall function while managing risks
(i) Establishing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor financial health and operational efficiency
(ii) Conducting regular performance reviews and provides actionable insights to senior leadership
(iii) Implementing performance improvement initiatives to enhance financial outcomes
(iv) Ensuring compliance with internal policies (e.g., EW engagement models)
Leading key strategic programsas needed (e.g., External Worker Transformation program across TE and Assets in close collaboration with EW COE and Optimize)
Your qualifications and skills
  • 10+ years of experience in financial and budget planning, performance management experience with KPIs translating to business goals and process optimization in a large, multi-location, global organization
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Proven track record of leading successful optimization projects and initiatives
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proven track record of building effective relationships across multiple business areas, functions, geographies and cultures while serving as a key point of insight into their strategic perspectives and goals

is $287,000 - $383,000 USD -to help you understand what you can expect. This reflects our best estimate of the lowest to highest

to remember that actual salaries may vary. Factors like your office location, your unique blend of experience and skills, start date and our current
organizational needs all play a part in determining the final figure. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to McKinsey's discretion
and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance.
