Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Practice Manager - **Cancer Center**.

In this role, the successful candidate will coordinate service operations of clinic exam areas at the Cancer Center by developing and monitoring operational performance criteria and introducing interventions required ensuring that levels of operational performance achieve the goals and strategic plan of the Cancer Center and Medical Center

Job Responsibilities:

    • Recommends staffing trains/orients and assigns staff Provides leadership and direction to facilitate optimal standards of performance evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions Ensures staff empowermen tand customer satisfaction
    • Insures quality and performance of operational functions achieve desired outcomes and goal as well as meeting all compliance and regulatory requirements Collaborates with operational managers to implement and/or modify operational interventions required to provide patients and their families with the level type of treatment and support necessary for optimal cost effective care
    • Ensures the efficient economic performance of all departments with operational responsibilities
    • Provides and maintains effective collaborative communications with the Cancer Center management team staff medical staff Medical Center and community at large Facilitate management staff participation in Cancer Center operations and NYU programs
    • Provides leadership management of assigned staff and programs Provides assistance to subordinates and colleagues in establishing department philosophy/objectives and policies and procedures
    • Consults and informs Cancer Center Coordinator of problems related to the operation of departments; recommends changes in policies to carry out Cancer Center/Medical Center objectives Facilitates and participates in the continuing development communication and support of the vision and strategic goals of the division

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must comply with regulatory requirements i e TJC appropriate for position Knowledge of business financial service line and insurance requirements affecting clinical services typically associated with a management level position Knowledge of research medical and business ethics typically associated with a management level position Ability to communicate and collaborate with the corporate management team corporate administrators physicians and hospital and medical center personnel Word processing Power Point and Database computer skills sufficient to develop reports spreadsheets and multi media presentations typically associated with management level responsibilities Five years of hospital or clinic administrative or operations experience required with at least 3 years of supervisory/managerial experience Master s Degree in Business or health administration related discipline preferred Experience working in an Oncology Hematology or Ambulatory Care environment preferred

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 - $89,250.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
