About the Emerging Business Unit and Who We Are
The Emerging Business Unit is a Globally focused organization, dedicated to the nurturement and maturation of acquired and newly released products here at Salesforce. Our role is to develop foundational sales process, structure, and go-to-market motions for these products so that they may continue their growth across the larger Salesforce enterprise. Currently the Emerging Business Unit is comprised of the Sales Performance Management Portfolio and the recently acquired product, Spiff, Salesforce's Incentive and Compensation Management platform.

We are a fast paced business fueled by an entrepreneurial spirit, focused on building fundamental components for these Solutions. We are scrappy, creative, and focused on scaled selling initiatives to help our Solutions grow consistently year over year.

What We are Looking For
We are seeking a Strategic Scale Solution Engineer (Pre-Sales) to join our Emerging Business Solution Engineering Team that is eager to continue their career as a Solution Engineer in a more strategic capacity with larger scope. The Strategic Scale Solution Engineer will act as a Solution Expert, and partner with Sales Leaders, Account Executives, and other Solution Engineers across the Globe to create compelling solutions, develop expert industry solution point of views, and drive scale for our business via external and internal webinars and enablement among other areas of focus. They will implement and execute programming that scales across all industries and regions to drive scale for the business and support the Specialist Solution Engineers in their deal pursuits.

The successful candidate will be a creative thinker, who is organized, and focused on innovative ways to scale the messaging and value proposition of the Emerging Business Unit Products, across our business partners and Customers. They are technically minded, and posses the business acumen to identify industry trends so that they can tackle those challenges with programming or solution design that can be scaled across regions, industries, and companies of all sizes. They will work with industry and technology experts to develop points of view to be shared across internal channels, increasing our pipeline and conversion rates. They will be strong presenters, project managers, and collaborative teammates as they work through internal process enhancements and customer facing activity like product demonstrations and technical architecture reviews. They will maintain expertise in all Emerging Business Unit Products and the fundamentals of the Salesforce Platform so they may be able to articulate compelling solutions and develop impactful technical solution point of views.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Salesforce Industry and Product Experts to understand industry trends and technical considerations that can be applied to Emerging Business Products and disseminated to the larger Specialist Solution Engineer organizations

  • Master and maintain technical competency in all Emerging Business Unit Products and the larger Salesforce Platform

  • Drive product revenue growth in unsupported regions through scale programming and process

  • Manage and execute internal and externally facing webinars and hands-on workshops

  • Partner with Account Executives and Solution Engineers to understand our Customer's unique business goals and challenges to create specific solution demos for EBOU products involved in the Customer's evaluation

  • Create, document, and deploy replicable demo solutions that can be used across multiple regions and industries to demonstrate the function and value of the EBOU Product Portfolio, while scaling larger EBOU Solution Engineering resources

  • Create scaled knowledge transfer through internal enablement channels to activate the larger selling and solutions organization to increase pipeline for Emerging Business Products

  • Define multi-product solutions and share with team to increase pipeline generation and deal conversion

  • Maintain relationships with internal technology teams to ensure Emerging Business Unit representation in fundamental demo environments

  • Support strategic opportunities requiring advanced expertise, in partnership with the aligned Solution Engineers

  • Candidate Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related industry

  • Minimum of 4 years as a Solution Engineer in industry or a related industry

  • Salesforce Administrator, Architect, or Sales Cloud Consultant Certified

  • Expectation will be to obtain certification following hire if not held during hiring process

  • Excellent presentation skills and experience presenting to C-Level Executives both in-person and virtually

  • Strong time management skills, allowing for multiple projects to run in parallel

  • Creative mindset and the ability to think "outside of the box" with a desire to develop solutions that scale or have direct applicability to customers of all shapes and sizes

  • Proficient in excel and/or data management best practices

For New York-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $143,850 to $192,360. For California-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $143,850 to $192,360. For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $143,850 to $192,360. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
