Earn $20.64/hour with the selection of the Enhanced Pay Option. Position Details The Certified Peer Specialist provides direct care to those in recovery of their mental illness. In doing so, they develop recovery goals to assist the individuals in areas that they are in need. Each individual CPS will communicate, document and review cases with supervisors about the clients that they serve, and each CPS will work 1:1 with individuals on service planning and goal completion. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: * Peer Specialist Certification upon graduation of the Certified Peer Specialist Training is required. * CANNOT accept Certified Recovery Specialist certification. * Experience working with adults with severe mental illness. * Personal experience as a recipient of mental health services and willingness to share personal experiences to provide expertise about the recovery process required. * Hold knowledge and understanding of severe mental illness, recovery principles and recovery driven service system. * High school diploma or general equivalence degree (GED) required. * Valid Driver's License required.
