Senior Technology Strategy and Solution Innovation Specialist

This position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance to be considered.

Criterion Systems is seeking an experienced Senior Technology Strategy and Solution Innovation Specialist to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for helping shape the strategic direction of the organization, optimizing functional processes, and identifying technology related to cyber platforms and applications, electronic know-your-customer (eKYC), cloud, financial technologies (FinTech), and artificial intelligence (AI). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cyber, identity and cloud technology research, process optimization, and strategic planning, with the ability to deliver actionable insights that align technological advancements with Mission goals.

You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams-spanning development, production, engineering, and more-to assess current technologies, identify areas for improvement, and develop strategies that enhance both technology and client Mission. Additionally, you will collaborate with the client's research team to identify emerging cyber, identity and cloud technologies, industry trends, and gaps in the existing tool suite, providing strategic recommendations for partnerships, innovation, and technical solutions. You will also oversee and manage technology initiatives from inception to delivery, ensuring projects are executed within scope and aligned with strategic goals, while coordinating cross-functional teams to drive the successful implementation of technology solutions.

Technology Strategy Specialist Responsibilities Include:



  • Conduct research on cyber platforms, eKYC and verification, identity management, cloud infrastructure, mobile applications, FinTech, and AI emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for enhancement or new initiatives.
  • Perform technology gap analysis and provide data-driven recommendations to address critical deficiencies.
  • Lead impact and risk assessments of new technologies, offering actionable recommendations how these technologies can enhance the client's mission or lead to new strategic initiatives.
  • Contribute to creating and refining the client's technology strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with long-term goals.
  • Identify technology gaps and develop solutions to optimize systems, processes, and infrastructure.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technology trends and recommend innovations to enhance technology capabilities.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to align technology strategies with broader objectives.
  • Evaluate and manage third-party technology solutions, ensuring they meet client needs and deliver successful outcomes.
  • Oversee technology initiatives from inception to delivery, ensuring projects are executed on time, within scope, and aligned with strategic goals.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and strategic advice to leadership on technology improvements related to cyber, identity and cloud.
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering growth in technology strategy and process optimization.
  • Collaborate with teams to streamline existing processes and establish key performance indicators to measure optimization effectiveness.
  • Lead efforts to evaluate and integrate new technologies to drive innovation and achieve strategic goals.


Technology Strategy Specialist Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:



  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experienced in identifying technical gaps, evaluating new technologies, and optimizing processes for efficiency. Skilled in developing strategic roadmaps, performing gap analysis, and implementing continuous improvement solutions.
  • Strong expertise in emerging technologies related to cyber platforms, eKYC and verification, identity management, cloud infrastructure. Understanding of other technologies such as FinTech, AI and mobile applications is strongly desired. Skilled in analyzing industry trends to drive innovation and inform decision-making.
  • Proficient in managing vendor relationships, evaluating third-party solutions, and ensuring alignment with client's goals for successful project outcomes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficient in clear, concise writing for correspondence and information exchange.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, plan projects, solve complex problems, and execute on strategic objectives. Proven leadership in guiding teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on building positive, productive relationships with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Extensive experience overseeing the full project lifecycle, timelines, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful project execution. Expertise in aligning projects with strategic goals and ensuring timely delivery within scope.
  • Strong strategic planning skills, with a deep understanding of business principles, leadership techniques, and resource optimization to drive long-term organizational objectives.
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and handle competing priorities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring efficient execution of tasks and projects.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, with a keen ability to leverage technology for improved project outcomes and organizational efficiency.
  • Highly self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working autonomously to achieve goals while maintaining a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.
