The CNE Facilities Assistant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of all areas within the nursing center, including offices, classrooms, labs, and specialized spaces. This role involves performing daily cleaning tasks, monitoring inventory, and coordinating with the maintenance department to complete repairs. The CNE Facilities Assistant also assists with event setup and cleanup, ensures compliance with health and safety regulations, and supports the Center's operations through effective teamwork and time management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. High school diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE: 1. Two(2)years' experience in custodial or janitorial work. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE: 1. Two (2) years' experience in custodial or janitorial work in an educational or healthcare setting. Performs Housekeeping duties and maintains cleanliness and productivity expectations set by the department. 2. Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal in all areas of the facility. 3. Ensure restrooms are clean, stocked with necessary supplies, and sanitized regularly. 4. Clean and maintain offices, classrooms, labs, and lounges, ensuring that all spaces are ready for use. 5. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in specialized areas such as the gym, laundry area, shower room, decompression room, and labs. 6. Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment, reporting any needs or issues to the Office Manager. 7. Coordinate with the maintenance department to ensure the completion of all minor and major repairs. 8. Assist in developing and managing the facilities budget. 9. Attend meetings and contribute to planning and improvement initiatives. 10. Assist with the setup and cleanup of events and activities held at the Center for Nursing Education. 11. Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe environment for all users of the facility. 12. Work closely with the administration, faculty, and other staff to support the Center's operations. 13. Cleans areas of responsibility utilizing proper procedures. Maintains productivity and cost effectiveness. 14. Works effectively, respectfully, and appropriately as a member of the team, respecting peers, and leadership. 15. Good time-management skills needed and the ability to work independently. 16. Performs all other duties as assigned contributing positively and fairly to all processes.
