Overall Purpose

The Enterprise Policy Governance Manager is a key member of the Risk Governance, Strategy and Planning function of the Enterprise and Operational Risk Management team. This role will be responsible for further maturing our Policy, Standards and Procedure (PSP) program, including how we create, maintain, enforce and manage PSPs, including the policy exception process.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain and enhance the Enterprise PSP Program that includes a PSP lifecycle based upon industry leading practices.
  • Monitor and maintain a comprehensive inventory of all Early Warning PSPs and track the timely updating of these documents in compliance with the Enterprise PSP Program.
  • Support the implementation and operation of Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) tooling to further improve and automate the Enterprise PSP Program.
  • Design and establish standard templates for PSPs and educate employees on proper use and the documentation of objectives, risks, and internal controls.
  • Develop, apply, maintain, and continuously improve PSP content development in line with best practices and standards.
  • Facilitate policy vetting discussions with key senior stakeholders (defined by policy owners) to ensure comprehensive review of enterprise policies.
  • Work cross functionally with teams (e.g., Compliance, Legal, Security, and Privacy) in creating and updating enterprise policies to ensure continued alignment with regulatory obligations.
  • Keep up with relevant regulation, emerging threats, policies and best practices, and maintain a mindset of constant innovation to consider possibilities in improving the Enterprise PSP Program.
  • Work with the training teams to ensure enterprise policy requirements are accurately and consistently communicated.
  • Perform special projects as identified and assigned by the Director, Risk Governance, Strategy & Planning.
  • Support the company's commitment to protect the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business-related discipline.
  • Four (4) or more years' experience related to Policy governance strategy, implementation, and oversight of a firm-wide program.
  • Experience drafting documents, including reviewing, and editing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills to professionally address a wide and varied audience, including executive management, both internally and externally.
  • Experience with policy management, related frameworks, concepts, and practices.
  • Proven ability to partner and collaborate with others across an organization, including Compliance, Risk, Security, Operations, IT, and Accounting/Finance.
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently.
  • Ability to effectively plan, prioritize tasks, and deliver initiatives on-time.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Working knowledge and experience within a formal "Three-Lines of Defense" program.
  • Background and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications in risk, audit, financial analysis, and/ or strategic disciplines, such as CPA, CIA, ARM, CERA, FRM, CRM, or CPCU.
  • Financial Services or FinTech experience preferred.
  • Governance, Risk, and Compliance tool experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.
