Overall Purpose

The Risk Operations Director is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Risk Strategy, Transformation and Operations office by managing and implementing strategies and initiatives related to risk administrative and operational functions, including support of the finance management and resource/capacity planning. Ensures alignment, cross functional insight, accurate reporting, and presentation of Early Warning's risk business strategies. This role is responsible for creating high-profile, public-facing work product on behalf of the CRO. Manages the interactions of the CRO with senior leaders, internal business partners, and subject matter experts to operationalize information about the processes, measurement systems, requirements, financials and talent involved in the management of risk.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as trusted resource and escalation point for VP, Risk Strategy, Transformation and Operations. Lead extensive stakeholder management and day-to-day collaboration in strategic initiatives and in support of the Risk Organization. Produce associated materials that are structured and communicated in high-quality outputs, both in written and oral form.

  • Develop content for governance and business operating routines that tells concise yet compelling stories. Gathers and coaches content owners through their various disciplines to identify the necessary topics to bring forward in business operating routines. Lead extensive stakeholder management and day-to-day collaboration with internal business partners and external customers. Provides guidance and assistance to leadership planning / cadences

  • Serve as the main point of contact for managing CRO business routines, operations, and strategic project implementations. Manages regular cadence of meetings and keeps Sr. Leadership informed of key deliverables. Authors highly effective and professionally written communications including CRO communications and presentations.

  • Lead all aspects of strategic Risk team initiatives driving role clarity and clear accountabilities, in partnership with stakeholders. This includes business development, recommendations, and execution. Articulates success factors and identifies critical team goals and objectives.

  • Assist in managing the CRO's P&L and providing monthly support on the P&L and forecasting process. Support of risk organizational initiatives including resource and capacity planning.

  • Support the company's commitment to risk management and protecting the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education and experience typically obtained through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Project Management or related field.

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a risk business operations function or related experience.

  • Ability to influence and drive enterprise-wide strategic decisions with significant impact to the company.

  • Experience with leading organizational change management efforts.

  • Highly effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with ability to tailor to varying audiences.

  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment

  • Highly engaged, self-starter with ability to balance achieving results and fostering collaboration.

  • Demonstrated experience in planning and orchestrating assignments to completion.

  • Previous experience with P&L / budgets and annual financial planning

  • Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel

  • Background and drug screen

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers.

Employee must be able to perform essential functions and physical requirements of position with or without reasonable accommodation.

The base pay scale for this position in:

Phoenix, AZ/ Chicago, IL in USD per year is: $160,000 - $180,000.
New York, NY/ San Francisco, CA in USD per year is: $170,000 - $190,000.

Additionally, candidates are eligible for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.
