Description

The Lutheran Home: Hope Residence, a 52-bed intermediate care facility for adults with developmental disabilities is seeking an evening supervisor. This position is responsible for supervising our caregivers on the second shift.

Schedule: Weekdays 4pm - 9pm; Sat/Sun 4pm - 9pm OR 10am - 3pm

*4 weeknights per week & every other Sat/Sun; on-call every 8-10th weekend*

Primary responsibilities of this position include but not limited to:



  • Observing our caregiver staff in the evening (interaction with residents and staff, mealtimes, breaks, cares, implementation of programs.
  • Observe mealtimes
  • Training as needed
  • Provide support to new DSP's (check in with them, observe, answer questions)
  • Filing- programmatic and financial documents
  • E-mail out reports to management team
  • Administrative support to the managers, DON, and Administrator as needed
  • Be part of the on-call rotation (every 8-10 weekend)

Qualifications

  • 2 year degree + 2 years caregiving experience
  • Valid Driver's license
  • Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
  • Ability to assist residents with mobility needs (lift up to 20 pounds)
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
  • Understanding of resident rights and the ability to advocate for their needs
