Linux Cloud Services: The Linux cloud services team provides services that are part of Oracle IaaS offerings. They are included with customer subscriptions to compute services. They include YUM, ksplice, OS Management Hub service and Autonomous Linux among others. Career Level - M5 ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Director in the product development division, you will lead a team that defines product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Envision and communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities. Ideal Candidate Background: Ideally, a candidate will possess experience as a cloud administrator who has managed large fleets of Linux instances in OCI, AWS, Azure or GCP or experience as a Linux system administrator/cloud developer responsible for the management of hundreds of Linux systems or instances. Expertise with the use of Linux is necessary. A customer-centric viewpoint is necessary. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required as well as the ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable requirements. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Since Linux Cloud Services are part of Oracle OCI IaaS offerings, the Linux Cloud Services team needs to maintain and collaborate with other adjacent and useful Oracle cloud services to ensure thoughtful roadmaps. The Sr. Dir, of Technical Product Management of Linux Cloud Services would be responsible for maintaining relationships and an intelligent future vision with these complimentary and adjacent cloud services teams along with providing regular feedback to our organization and theirs. In order to develop meaningful roadmaps, the Sr. Director of Technical Product Management would be responsible also for providing to development management regular reviews of the competitive market offerings from cloud vendors such as AWS, Azure and GCP. We would like to have regular internal discussions with development leadership including the architects.
