Database Coordinator II - Indianapolis, IN - Monday - Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM In acomplex medical environment, incumbent isresponsible forproper physician databasedocumentation,aswellasthemaintenance,coordinationandcommunication of physician database information, requiring independent judgment. Incumbent will assist intheorganization and implementationofother database related projects such asmaintenance ofresult keys,expanded phrases, rules, queries, patients,whichmay involve coordination with other departments. Pay Range: $19.61+ per hour Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation. - MaintainphysiciandatabaseusedbyINandKYlaboratories,utilizingthefields available to provide additional information to assist in accessioning and delivery of results.
- Setupnewphysiciansandpractices,callingthepracticestoverifyinformation concerning report delivery method, physicians atthe practice.
- Maintainsmanualtrackingsystemofnumberofnewphysiciansadded,physicians updated and cases looked at todetermine what physician toadd tocase.
- Communicatesphysiciandatabaseadditionsandchangessales,billingandclient service as needed.
- Assist in the testing new interfaces, Laboratory Information System changes/updates.
- Helpstomaintainpatientdatabasethroughrunningofduplicatepatientreports, merging patients that can be combined.
- Investigatesrequeststodeletecasesfromdatabase,deletingwhenappropriate.
- Assistsincorrectingerrorsonreportsthatareidentifiedbytheclientorinternally.
- Monitorresultsandordersinterfaces,verifyingresultsarecrossingandvalidating orders received.
- Assists inworking therequestsfrombillingtoupdatepatientorcaseasneeded.
- Runsandcreatesqueriesasneeded.
QUALIFICATIONS Required WorkExperience:
Preferred Work Experience:
- 4-6years' experience withcomputeroperations asasystem userinaClient Services/Customer Service/Laboratory Services environment.
- Hands-onexperiencewithPCdatabaseandwordprocessingprogramsdesirable.

- Competency to work under limited supervision in most phases of database management. Typing speed of 40 wpm desirable.
