Preventive Medicine Program Manager

Summary:

This position plans and oversees the operations, growth, and daily management of the Community Informed Care Initiative, a CHW program at Maine Medical Center. The program manager will manage current grant funding, as well as look and write future funding proposals. The program manager will supervise the community health workers, lead initiatives to connect to community organizations, and collect and analyze program data and evaluation.

Additionally, the position spends some time working with the Preventive Medicine Enhancement for Maine program to help the faculty and preventive medicine residents in implementing program deliverables and assuring the completion of day-to-day activities. The role mentors, oversees and directs other program resources and is accountable for cultivating a culture of engagement.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in healthcare or relevant field preferred. Master's Degree preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Licensure/certification may be preferred or required based on scope of role.
  3. Experience: Two years of program management or related work experience required. Three years of healthcare experience preferred.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Strong facilitation and analytical/problem-solving skills.
