Our team offers targeted management for patients with acute or chronic renal conditions by addressing fluid overload, electrolyte imbalances, and toxin removal when kidney function is impaired. • Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT): Designed for critically ill ICU patients unable to tolerate traditional dialysis.
  • Emergency Dialysis: Offered for acute conditions such as hyperkalemia, acidosis, or toxin removal.
  • Intraoperative Dialysis: Done in the Operating room as patients are having surgeries and transplant.

The acute dialysis team consists of:

  • Nephrologists: Leading care plans, prescribing dialysis parameters, and managing associated conditions.
  • Dialysis Nurses and Dialysis Technicians: Experts in operating dialysis machines, managing vascular access, and monitoring patient outcomes. Responsible for setting up and maintaining dialysis equipment.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: We work in partnership with ICU, nephrology, surgery, cardiology, and infectious disease teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Our department employs advanced technology, including:

  • Fresenius Blue Star Dialysis Machines: For in-room treatments and ICU settings.
  • Portable MarCor 300H Water Purification Systems: for in room treatments.
  • CRRT Machines (NxStage and Fresenius): Designed for continuous therapy in critical care environments.
