Medical Assistant Overview

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Coordinates and supervises patient appointments for provider visits, and procedure(s)
• Delivers patient care as delegated by the RN to assigned patient population, or individual patient
• Communicates effectively with patients and other members of the healthcare team
• Provides patient instruction as delegated
• Demonstrates ability to deliver care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level of population served

Minimum Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant Diploma from an accredited school

OR

• MLT or graduate of 2-year accredited Vocational/Technical MLT training or Graduate of Accredited Medical Assistant Program or Associate Degree
• MLT- certified by NCA/AMT/ASCP
