YOU As the Process Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining production and injection molding guidelines and optimizing processes for efficiency, quality, and productivity while working with cross-functional teams. You will work to ensure production feasibility, investigate root causes, and implement manufacturing strategies while establishing procedures, supporting new product launches, verifying processes, and assisting in troubleshooting for all production areas. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING(% of Time) Maintain and grow existing and new production areas in partnership with site leaders. Develop, communicate, and participate in implementing manufacturing process strategies to produce defect-free products that consistently meet quality, demand, and customer needs, yield cost savings, and improve efficiencies. (30%) Lead the development, procurement, start-up, validation efforts, and implementation of automated equipment for high-volume production applications. (20%) Responsible for identifying, developing, and communicating product, process, and equipment requirements to improve process capability and process robustness. (20%) Collaborate across functional areas and interpret, present, and deliver information to senior leaders; scientists; engineers; maintenance; and other systems development personnel. (20%) Implement waste reduction efforts by coaching, training, and working with production staff, supervisors, engineers, and others to improve efficiencies, yields, and ergonomics. WORK ENVIRONMENT This job operates in both a professional office environment and a manufacturing plant. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners, etc. The employee occasionally works around moving mechanical parts. Noise level may be loud at times. TRAVEL This position requires domestic travel up to 20% of the time. WORK STATUS & LOCATION This full-time, exempt position is in West Chicago, IL. RELOCATION Relocation is not available for this position.
