DUTIES:



  • Produce realistic Battlefield Effects using simulators, training devices and pyrotechnics without assistance in a safe, accurate and timely manner.
  • Operate and maintain all assigned equipment to prescribed standards to include operation of All-Terrain Vehicles (ATV).
  • Must train and become proficient in military map reading using the Military Grid Reference System.
  • Work during both daylight hours and during periods of limited visibility while using (NVGs) Night Vision Goggles,
  • Work under all weather conditions and in a wide variety of terrain.
  • Follow all instructions from Shift Leader and perform tasks in compliance with all applicable corporate and local regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned consistent with mission requirements and occupational specialty.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Experience:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be capable of completing safety certification program prior to performing duties.


Desired Experience:



  • Experience reading military maps and in military radio-telephone procedures.
  • Class "D' driver's license.


Additional Requirements:



  • Must be in good physical condition and capable of rapid cross country movement on foot over varied terrain for a distance of 2km while carrying a 20 pound pack in 20 minutes.
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to throw pyrotechnic a minimum of 20 meters.
  • Must be able to multi-task and work independently when needed.
  • Must train and become proficient in military map reading using the Military Grid Reference System.
  • Must become proficient in military communications procedures.
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts outdoors and react quickly to schedule changes.
  • Must be able to travel unaccompanied throughout the continental US and foreign countries.
  • Individual must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening and will be subject to random drug screening.
  • Must possess a valid Louisiana State Driver's License (or equivalent).
  • Employment contingent upon favorable company background investigation.
  • Will have to acquire a post access card.
