Overview Myriad Genetics, Inc. hiring a Revenue Cycle Analytics Manager for a group of products that represent pioneering advances in the field of molecular diagnostics. The Revenue Cycle Analytics Manager oversees a culture of excellence and improvement by acting as a key thought partner within the Revenue Cycle Management team. This position is responsible for the general supervision and management of the billing analytics for multiple products and billing functions. This position joins an elite team building a culture of revenue cycle excellence and continuous improvement, and will influence the entire department to deliver material revenue and profit to the company. The Manager of Revenue Cycle Analytics reports directly to the Vice President, Revenue Cycle and will serve as a key thought partner for the Vice President and Managers, as well as ASP and analytics leaders throughout the company. Responsibilities
- Drives a culture of continuous improvement that engages direct reports and the Revenue Cycle Management team.
- Effectively communicates Revenue Cycle objectives to the Analytics team and translates those objectives into a comprehensive set of metrics and analytic deliverables for stakeholders.
- Actively contributes to employee development plans and processes.
- Develops a thorough understanding of systems, processes and payor-specific reimbursement mechanisms and billing requirements, contributing in the proactive identification of opportunities for revenue cycle improvement and enhancement.
- Participate and, at times, represent Revenue Cycle in ASP meetings and discussions
- Assists management and staff with tracking action plans to ensure timely collections and timely follow-up.
- Prepares analysis and uses data as a key driver to plan, organize, manage, and control collection processes.
- Work effectively with the data management team to develop dashboards and inclusion of relevant Revenue Cycle data for consumption by Revenue Cycle leaders.
- Analyzes data to identify trends related to denials and rejections; develops and executes plans to avoid, reduce, and resolve denials and rejections.
- Develops relationships with revenue cycle vendors to ensure vendor performance and quality meets or exceeds standards set for those relationships.
- Analyzes adjustments to avoid unnecessary write-offs.
- Measures and suggests improvements in clinically-based appeal strategies.
- Creatively uses technology and innovation to solve issues and improve processes.
- Directs and ensures timely completion of projects/work plans.
- Leads PAMA reporting for new and existing tests with accuracy and timely delivery to the Vice President for regulatory reporting.
- Must be able to interpret and present revenue cycle reports to Finance and business-unit leadership.
- Participate in the Quality Assurance plan.
- Hire, develop and train qualified analytics employees
- Ensure staff accurately maintains the billing system contract pricing.
- Assist the Revenue Cycle Managers with measuring predictors of staff success and productivity, and identifying root causes for changes in predictors and outcomes.
- Coordinate payor reviews with Revenue Cycle and Operations leaders to meet company goals for revenue and profitability.
- Working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS coding, DSO reduction, accounts receivable, HIPPA, and EDI claims submission methods.
- Assists with requests for information from MGI Finance and Accounting and external auditors.
- Ensure staff compliance with applicable CLIA and HIPAA regulations.
- Perform annual performance reviews of direct reports and take appropriate promotion or corrective action related to staff performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management, Informatics, or a quantitative field required.
- 1+ years of experience in laboratory revenue cycle or billing required.
- Experience managing or supervising a revenue cycle team required.
- Detailed knowledge of laboratory revenue cycle functions and success factors.
- Working knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding; DSO reduction; accounts receivable; HIPAA; and EDI claims submission methods.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with data tools.
Physical Requirements Lifting Requirements - light work or exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently.
