Responsibilities

The Product Development Manager is responsible for the design, development and management of for product portfolio from initiation through market rollout. Develops and maintains product specs for new and existing solutions, coordinates pricing, sales training and develops internal and external collateral.

  • Designs and develops content, portfolios and products in order to meet organizational goals.
  • Reviews sales data, competitor analyses, customer feedback and the organization's brand and values.
  • Evaluates existing products for improvements and/or decrease costs by researching new designs or methods.
  • Conducts market research to determine how customers interact with similar products; determines design trends, user preferences.
  • Identifies and engages cost beneficial suppliers, contractors, materials and resources without compromising product quality.
  • Manages product(s) budget and reports return on investment to senior leadership.
  • Monitors and reports on organization's progress towards established goals.
  • Provides support to peers and product team.
  • Ensures the products are in compliance with governmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned/required by this position.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • CAD Software experience preferred.
  • NPDP preferred.
  • Minimum of three years experience in product development.
  • Previous experience as a product developer, product designer and or product development engineer required.
  • Experience working in the Healthcare field is highly preferred.
  • Proven record of successfully managing complex projects and/or programs that resulted in cost savings.
  • Possesses skills in critical thinking, problem solving, interpretation and evaluation of complex information.
  • Demonstrated ability to research, analyze and interpret state/federal regulations related to health insurance and healthcare.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing to effectively convey ideas, designs and results of product development and progress.
  • Proficient in gathering and interpreting empirical data, formulating recommendations, action plans to improve overall strategy.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintain an effective collaborative working relationship with peers and support staff.
