Job Description

General Summary:

The Publications Manager is responsible for the execution of assigned medical, scientific and technical publications included in global disease publication plans. The manager will work closely with the Publications Leads for each assigned disease area to ensure quality, accuracy and scientific narrative flow. The manager will be responsible for managing all publication logistics with the vendor where applicable.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partners with MWS, HEOR and Global Medical colleagues to develop assigned publications within the global disease publication plans
  • Responsible for publication execution across disease areas
  • Ensures compliance with Vertex publication policy and external publication guidelines
  • Works with assigned vendor to ensure the publication is executed on time, within budget and with exceptional quality

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal functions and external stakeholders
  • Clear understanding of current publication environment, ICMJE, GPP3, and other global guidelines related to publications, scientific data communication, and transparency standards
  • Strong computer and database skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products and Datavision
  • Ability to manage a vendor if needed
  • Demonstrated ability to be a fast learner and has a "can-do" attitude
  • Demonstrated knowledge and effectiveness in the execution of publications

Education and Experience:

  • Master's degree
  • Typically requires 4 years of experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay Range:

$124,500 - $186,800

Disclosure Statement:

The range provided is based on what we believe is a reasonable estimate for the base salary pay range for this job at the time of posting. This role is eligible for an annual bonus and annual equity awards. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

In this Remote-Eligible role, you can choose to be designated as:
1. Remote: work remotely five days per week and come into the office on occasion - you're always welcome on-site; or select
2. Hybrid: work remotely up to two days per week; or select
3. On-Site: work five days per week on-site with ad hoc flexibility.
