The Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport is located in the center of the bustling Seaport District. The AAA Four Diamond rated hotel boasts 1,054 finely appointed guestrooms with 52 suites, seven delectable dining experiences, a scenic rooftop pool, a luxury Breve Spa, and more than 100,000 square feet of meeting and event space allowing to provide each guest a unique and memorable experience. The Engineering Manager will provide technical and administrative assistance to the Director of Engineering Services and to assist the Director of Engineering Services in the operational aspect of the Engineering Department for this 1,054 room convention hotel.



Responsibilities

    Assist the Director of Engineering Services in the upkeep of the preventative maintenance, including the keeping of logs on work done, scheduling and the assignment of projects and other related tasks.
  • Review work orders and assign work by priorities.
  • Maintain up-to-date inventories of heat, light & power and repair and maintenance supplies.
  • Respond to guest requests.
  • Work with the Engineering staff on a shift basis and coordinates their activities.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
  • Have a thorough understanding of Omni's job scenarios.


Qualifications

  • Must have extensive HVAC and mechanical experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Union experience preferred.
  • 2-4 years of luxury hotel engineering experience preferred.
  • Previous experience at a convention service hotel preferred.
  • Ability to work in the interior and exterior of the hotel as needed.
  • Must be able to maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
