A DevOps Engineer on the Actuarial Software Engineering team will design and deliver CICD solutions that automate the build, test and deployment of applications and infrastructure. To excel in the role, you will combine knowledge of Gitlab-CI, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker and OS targets with your strong problem-solving and creativity to build pipelines that enable our software engineers' to confidently release applications to varied platforms. The Actuarial Software Engineering team at Northwestern Mutual is responsible for creating and improving systems that ensure the company can meet its financial obligations to its customers, employees, and field representatives. These systems are financial in nature, centered on risk products and benefit plans, and based on the professional knowledge of the actuary. The applications are varied, generally are mathematical, and involve working in close partnerships with technical peers and actuarial business experts.
